Warranty Policy

At National Decking, we stand behind the quality of the products we sell. This Warranty Policy sets out the scope, limitations, and conditions of warranty coverage. By purchasing from National Decking, customers acknowledge and agree to the terms below.

Scope of Warranty

  • The warranty applies only to products purchased directly from National Decking.
  • Each product line carries its own manufacturer’s warranty, with terms and coverage that may vary. The manufacturer’s warranty documents govern the specific conditions, duration, and remedies available.
  • National Decking’s responsibility is limited to facilitating warranty claims with the manufacturer and applying our own policies where applicable.

Warranty Coverage

    • Provide a replacement product of equal or comparable value, or
    • Issue a refund in accordance with our Return & Refund Policy.

If a product is confirmed to have a manufacturing defect within the applicable warranty period, National Decking will, at its sole discretion:

Exclusions (Not Covered)

This warranty does NOT cover, under any circumstances:

    • Labor, installation, or removal costs.
    • Contractor or customer time, travel expenses, lost wages, business income, project delays, or administrative costs.
    • Incidental or consequential damages, including but not limited to delays, project costs, loss of use, inconvenience, or business losses.
    • Damage caused by misuse, neglect, abuse, accidents, force majeure events, or improper maintenance.
    • Defects caused by improper installation or failure to follow manufacturer’s instructions.
    • Normal wear and tear, including fading, weathering, warping, surface scratches, or minor cosmetic imperfections that do not impact functionality.
    • Products altered, cut, modified, or repaired by the customer or a third party.
    • Special order, clearance, final sale, or custom-cut materials.

Warranty Claim Procedure

  1. Report the Defect
    • Notify us within the applicable warranty period.

  2. Submit Documentation
    • Original invoice or proof of purchase.
    • Description of the defect.
    • Photos or videos clearly showing the issue.

  3. Evaluation
    • National Decking reserves the right to inspect the product and request additional evidence.
    • Determination of whether a defect exists rests solely with National Decking and/or the manufacturer.

  4. Resolution
    • Approved claims will result in replacement or refund, depending on product availability and manufacturer policy.
    • Customers are responsible for returning defective items, unless otherwise agreed.

Limitations of Liability

The warranty is limited exclusively to replacement or refund of defective products.
National Decking shall not be held liable for:

  • Labor, installation, or removal expenses.
  • Incidental, consequential, or indirect damages of any kind.
  • Claims exceeding the original purchase price of the product.

This limitation of liability applies to the fullest extent permitted by Ontario and Canadian law.

Legal Compliance

This Warranty Policy complies with the Ontario Consumer Protection Act, 2002 and applicable Canadian laws. Manufacturer warranties may provide additional coverage beyond the scope of this policy.
